Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen leaks as 5.7-inch monster

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen has leaked just days ahead of the phone’s formal unveiling at Samsung’s IFA 2013 Mobile Unpacked event next week.

With a number of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours having done the rounds in recent weeks pointing at a selection of different display sizes, latest leaks have suggested the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen will be a 5.7-inch monster.

Hitting the web in picture form courtesy of ETrade Supply, the detailed pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen have claimed that the third-generation stylus hosting ‘phablet’ device will sport a 5.68-inch display, likely to be referred to as 5.7-inches by the Korean manufacturer.

Showing a dramatically thinner bezel than on the company’s past smartphones, the leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen has hinted that the upcoming device could line up with an overall footprint not much bigger than the existing, 5.5-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

According the prematurely unveiled images, which feature a selection of detailed measurements, the Note 3 screen’s bezel will be just 2.2mm thick.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumours
With Samsung telling the media to ‘Note the Date’ for its September press conference, it is widely expected that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date will be announced next week, with recent Note 3 rumours suggesting the handset will share a number of specs with the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Tipped to host the S4’s 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs sheet is expected to benefit from a 1.9GHz quad-core CPU, with the mooted octa-core option facing continuing delays following overheating and manufacturing issues.

Setting itself apart from the S4, it has been suggested the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be the first smartphone to feature 3GB of RAM.
