If you're looking to add a new twist to your smartphone photography, check out ReveaLED.
It's a UV LED light that you attach to your phone. Because of its UV light, you can capture incredible detail in the dark without resorting to the flash and blowing out the image.
The only downside is it'll show up every spec of dirt, and – as anyone who's been to a UV-lit nightclub wearing a black shirt will attest – dandruff. So maybe give your house a bit of a spring clean before snapping.
You can plug ReveaLED into your smartphone's headphone port. But it's powered by its own rechargeable battery, so you don't have to connect it to your device.
As well as being very handy for nature photography – as long as you don't mind animals and rocks looking like they've been pumped full of radioactive material – it'll also show up glowing colours and fluorescent materials that are invisible to the naked eye on bank notes and passports.

Strangely for a Kickstarter project, there's no app. You just turn on ReveaLED, plug it into your phone and start shooting.
It's passed its funding goal and still has 30 days to go. Pledge $25 (£18) and you can snaffle one when it ships in April.
