Rainbow Six Siege beta extended once again with a double XP weekend



The Rainbow Six Siege Closed Beta will now run until October 4, after being extended for a second time

The closed beta for Rainbow Six Siege was originally intended to end on Monday, September 28, but was extended to October 1.

Ubisoft has extended the beta period once again, with the closed playtest now set to end on October 4.

Players are receiving additional playtime due to server issues to plagued the early days of the beta.

Ubisoft is also expanding the number of beta participants by sending out extra codes to current players, which can be shared with friends.

Beta access was previously only available to those who pre-ordered the game, so this could be your lucky day.

In a recent blog post, Ubisoft noted its reason for extending the beta period:

"Not only will this give you all more time play, it will give us more time to collect more data, feedback, and identify potential issues," the publisher explained.

Ubisoft will also be holding a double XP weekend starting this Friday, October 2, be wary that all of this experience won’t carry over to the full game.

The beta registration page will be closing at some point today, so be quick if you want a chance to play!

Rainbow Six Siege was originally planned to release on October 13, but has since been to delayed to December.

Siege will launch on December 1 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
