New Nexus 7 coming September 13?

UK consumers can expect to get their hands on the new Nexus 7 tablet this September, with prices starting from a penny shy of £200.

According to the PC World website, the new Nexus 7 will land on UK shores on September 13, leaking the UK release date and pricing for the second-generation slate before any official word from Google.

The next-generation Google Nexus 7 will cost £199.99 for the 16GB version, while the 32GB option will cost £239.99, if the PC World pricing is accurate.

Currently pricing for the 2012 Google Nexus 7 is £159.99 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version, £199.99 for the 32GB Wi-Fi only model and £239.99 Wi-Fi and cellular option.

This makes the new Nexus 7 a little pricier than its 2012 counterpart, but seeing as it just got a Full 1080p HD display upgrade we can understand the minor price increase.

New Nexus 7 Features
Building upon the successes of the 2012 Nexus 7, Google’s new 7-inch slate introduces a Full 1920 x 1200p HD display with a 323ppi image density. This makes it have the highest resolution of any 7-inch tablet, definitely beating its iPad mini Apple rival.

The new Nexus 7 features a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM and the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 4G connectivity options.

A new addition to the Nexus 7 is the rear camera, which packs 5-megapixels to complement the 1.2-megapixel snapper up front.

New dual stereo speakers have also made the cut in the 2013 Nexus 7, further enhanced by Fraunhofer virtual surround sound technology.

Running the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, the new Nexus 7 has even got a battery upgrade too, adding an extra hour of life maxing out at an iPad mini rivalling 10 hours.
