There's been no shortage of leaks concerning the Motorola Droid Turbo, and now we have more. Thanks to a post on Reddit, the name has been confirmed, and we have a new batch of photos to gaze at longingly.
US network Verizon has put up a website teasing a new Droid device, but hasn't named it. One internet sleuth on Reddit had a poke around in the website's CSS file, however, and spied the name "Droid Turbo". Which is all but official confirmation of the name.
The same poster also leaked a fresh batch of images which show the handset in its black and red guises. While not on a par with the likes of the Vertu Bentley phone, it looks very premium indeed.
There's no further word on the specs, however. We've heard a couple of times that this handset promises to blow the competition out of the water, with a 5.2-inch QHD screen that gives it a pixel per inch count of 565ppi. While a little smaller than the LG G3's display, it should look a bit sharper.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip will be clocked at 2.7GHz, alongside 3GB of RAM. Which will put it up there with the fastest smartphones around.
Also onboard are a 21-megapixel camera, 32GB of storage, and a back cover that's made of kevlar. Should be hard as nails.
The handset will be unveiled a week tomorrow, so there's not long to wait. Fingers crossed for a UK release.
