Could the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus record 4K video at 60fps? The latest leak, which allegedly represents a hands-on experience with Apple's forthcoming handset duo, suggests that they might.

It's the latest reveal in a long list of leaks. But according to a Vietnamese tech blog (via MacRumors) the iPhone 7 will record in 4K at 60fps. This is a step up from the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus models, which could record 4K at 30fps.

The site claims to have had a hands-on opportunity with the new phone, although with no images available as proof and the official unveiling not until tomorrow (Wednesday 7 September), we're more than a little bit dubious.

That said, high quality filming requires more storage space to accommodate the end product, and as we're expecting to see a 256GB iPhone 7 model showcased at the launch event, perhaps we're being unduly cynical?

Indeed, the iPhone 7 camera has already been the source of considerable gossip, with the rumour mill pointing to the iPhone 7 Plus variant sporting a dual-camera configuration, which could lend itself well itself to enhanced video capture.

We'll only know for sure tomorrow, when Apple finally unveils its latest smartphones.

Additional chit-chat points to a slew of new iPhone colours, water-resistant specifications, and revamped headphones entering the wild.
