Lawbreakers has been confirmed as the name of Cliff Bleszinski’s new game.
Cliffy B’s first game after his departure from Gears of War studio Epic is called Lawbreakers.
Revealed via a teaser website called theshattering.gg, Lawbreakers will launch sometime in 2016 on unknown platforms.
The vague storyline is that the Earth has been hit by an apocalypse-like event that’s been called The Shattering. It caused the world to collapse, the seas to boil and other major events that shook the world as we knew it.
However, humanity managed to come back stronger than ever, rebuilding the world as best they could.
That’s until the gangs came along though. Gravity manipulation and supplement abuse created people with near super-human abilities. And these gangs have come from around the world and have flooded the streets with narcotics, violence and war.
The title Lawbreakers sees two sides – the organised law enforcement on one side and the organised crime groups on the other. Within each side there are also sub-factions, and Bleszinski’s hope is that players will become really passionate about their sub-faction.
The law and the breakers both deal in the currency of gravity.

What’s interesting about Lawbreakers is that Bleszinski is calling it a very vertical game, especially as the ground is like lava. He states that the ground isn’t a great place to be in Lawbreakers.
Therefore there’s three main pillars in Lawbreakers – gangs, guns and gravity.
Lawbreakers will be published by Nexon, which is primarily known for free-to-play PC games.
There’s no gameplay footage at the moment, but stayed tuned to TrustedReviews for all the latest.
