Just Cause 3 release date revealed for this year

Square Enix has confirmed that the Just Cause 3 release date is coming this year.

In fact, Just Cause 3 will be released on 1 December 2015 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

That’s actually this year, and we’ve got everything crossed that it’s not delayed closer to the time.

During the Square Enix E3 2015 press conference, the publisher revealed a host of new gameplay features for Just Cause 3.

As we’ve seen in some teaser screenshots and trailers, Just Cause 3 is the first in the series to get the wing suit for some airborne action for protagonist Rico Rodriguez.

The parachute has also been tweaked to make it more stable, meaning you can use two handed weapons while you fly.

Those familiar with the Just Cause series will also be pleased to hear the grapple hook has been updated too, with various new hooks added to the game.

You can also directly control the grapple hook tension, which will allow you to chain together incredible moments and explosions in-game.

Set in the Mediterranean-inspired Medici, Rodriguez’s home town, Just Cause 3 is a 400-square-mile action adventure.

The physics engine has been revamped for new-gen consoles and PC and Square Enix states that you’ll see physics-based chained explosions as you create mayhem in Just Cause 3.

Of course then you’ve got the storyline. Medici is being ruled by a general that Rodriguez will need to take down.

The missions include tearing down the general’s base of power and destroying strongholds.

Just Cause 3’s open world is packed with collectibles and challenges too though, such as races, scrapyard scrambles, wing suit courses and destruction derby courses.

All the challenges will be tracked online, so you can compete with your friends when you start playing.
