Apple event invite

Apple hasn’t yet confirmed that it will be hosting a live stream for tonight’s iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C launch, but we are sure it will.

The Cupertino company has a habit of waiting until the last minute to reveal the availability of its event’s live stream, but you can be sure Apple will take the opportunity to show off its new iPhones to the greatest possible audience.

We’ll be live tweeting the event on the @trustedreviews account, so join us at the fruit market for some Apple fun.

For all the news, head to our iPhone event hub.

Usually, any live streamed keynote is available to watch on the Apple events website via its Safari web browser only. This requires a Mac running OS X 10.6 or later though.

You’ll also potentially get access to the live stream via any iOS device running iOS 4.2 or later. That means you can watch the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C launch via iPad or existing iPhones.

Apple TV owners can also access the special Apple events app on the set-top box, which Apple recently rebooted for second- or third-generation boxes.

Set to kick off at 10am PT, the event is being held at Apple’s Curpertino campus, but UK viewers can catch it from 6pm tonight.

The invite was sent out last week, covered in coloured bubbles with the tag line “This should brighten everyone’s day”.

Although there was no official wording that hinted to the iPhone 5C, the rainbow of pastel swatches certainly gave a rather strong reference to the heavily rumoured colourful budget iPhone. However, the palette is fairly similar to that featured in the new iOS 7 mobile operating system, the release date of which is expected to be revealed tonight.

Next, read what to expect at tonight’s Apple event.
