For the die-hard Applers amongst you, the last 12 months have been an excruciating wait.
The handset duo, announced at an event on September 9, can now be bought outright in official Apple outlets and third-party retailers across the country.
The devices will also be available to buy online via Apple’s official website.
So what’s new with the latest round of iPhones? Well Apple’s made a number of changes to entice new and old customers alike.
The headline feature is 3D Touch, which gives users access to a number of new gestures thanks to a pressure-sensitive display.
Another interesting feature is Live Photos, which sees the camera capture rapid-fire images in the second-and-a-half before and after you take a photo.
They’re then combined to create a short gif based around the moment you shoot a picture.
More prosaic updates include the addition of iOS 9, Apple’s new A9 mobile chipset, and an upgrade to a 12-megapixel camera.
In terms of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus colour options available, you’re looking at gold, silver, space grey, and the brand new rose gold (read: pink).
Both new handsets will be offered in three different storage variants, namely 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Sorry, no 32GB this time around.
The iPhone 6S starts at £539, rising up to £699 for the highest storage capacity.
The iPhone 6S Plus, meanwhile, starts at a heftier £619 price tag, while the 128GB model will set you back £789.
