The best HTC U11 model is now available for pre-order in the UK

HTC has announced UK pre-order availability for the biggest storage variant of its new flagship smartphone, the HTC U11.

As the amount of storage required by phone users steadily ramps up, it’s becoming increasingly important to have a decent amount of storage capacity on your phone. In a bid to satisfy that need, HTC is now offering the HTC U11 in the UK with 128GB of storage on a pre-order basis.

The new version of the handset comes with a dual SIM and 6GB of RAM, and will be available in Solar Red, Amazing Silver, Brilliant Black, and Sapphire Blue colour options.

To get the new model, you’ll have to fork out a hefty £699, although that’s only marginally more expensive than the 64GB HTC U11, which currently costs £649:

The HTC U11 features a generous 5.5-inch Quad HD display and runs on Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 chip. The standard version offers 4GB of RAM, but you’ll get an extra 2GB of memory with the new 128GB storage variant.

The device also features a Micro SD card, and comes with active noise-cancelling USB-C earbuds in the box. The handset also comes with support for Amazon’s voice-controlled Alexa digital assistant, and features an innovative gesture control method that involves squeezing the sides of the phone.

We gave the HTC U11 a respectable 4/5 score, praising the handset’s fast performance, above-average camera, lack of bloatware, and the support for hi-res audio. Here’s our verdict:

“Featuring oddly useful squeeze controls, a great camera and hi-res audio support, the HTC U11 is an excellent handset that won’t disappoint any buyer when it comes to functionality. Its design is Marmite, however.”
