Just minutes after HTC formally unveiled the new HTC One, a selection of UK network providers and smartphone retailers have already confirmed their plans to stock the 4.7-inch, quad-core handset.
Lining up as HTC’s new flagship Android handset, and as a direct rival to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S3, iPhone 5 and Google Nexus 4, the HTC One plays host to a bevy of high-end specs including a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm CPU and Google’s Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS.
With a March 15 HTC One release date confirmed, HTC has revealed that the HTC One will feature a raft of new features including HTC BoomSound stereo audio, HTC BlinkFeed updates and HTC Zoe, a new camera feature that will build on the handset’s UltraPixel snapper to create more immersive stills and video galleries.

With Vodafone confirming that the March 15 HTC One release date will see the next-gen handset preceded by two weeks’ worth of pre-orders, kicking off on March 1, the red-hued network has added that it will “announce pricing soon.”
In a statement to TrustedReviews, a Vodafone spokesperson stated: “The HTC One will add to Vodafone’s range of ‘4G-ready’ phones. Getting one of our 4G-ready phones means a customer will be good to go as soon as Vodafone 4G arrives, bringing them ultra-fast internet and the best mobile video they’ve ever had from us.”
They added: “Once a customer has got their new phone, we’ll let them know the moment Vodafone 4G is available in their area, and we can then talk about adding Vodafone 4G to their monthly plan.”
On the topic of 4G, currently the UK’s only 4G network, EE has confirmed that it will stock the HTC One at launch with the LTE compatible device set to make use of the company’s high-speed wireless networking options.
Making the most of the company’s current 4G exclusivity, an EE spokesperson stated: “EE, the UK’s most advanced digital communications company, today announced it will exclusively launch the new HTC One smartphone with superfast 4G.”
Offering insight into the HTC One price, the company added: The HTC One will be available on EE’s superfast 4G service via the EE online shop, EE telesales and EE retail stores from mid-March. It will be available across a range of 4GEE price plans, and is just £69.99 on a £41 per month 24 month package, with users receiving 1GB of mobile data, as well as unlimited UK calls and texts.”
Adding further incentive to jump to the HTC One, EE revealed that customers who pre-order the handset ahead of launch will be entered into a draw to win VIP tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final, being held at Wembley stadium later this year.
Parent company to both Orange and T-Mobile, EE added: “The HTC One will also be available on the UK’s largest 3G network from Orange and T-Mobile across a range of plans including £69.99 on a £36 per month, 24 month plan.”
Already allowing wannabe owners to register their interest in the HTC One, Three has confirmed that it will open HTC One pre-orders later this week in a bid to capitalise in the current interest in the quad-core device.
“We can confirm that Three will be ranging the cutting edge HTC One,” a Three spokesperson officially announced. “You’ll be able to order your new device from us on Friday February 22nd from our Three stores and online.”
