The HTC Desire 500 has been unveiled as a mid-range handset with a quad-core processor, to complete the high-end HTC One flagship.
Available later this month, the HTC Desire 500 runs the latest HTC Sense UI and comes with an 8-megapixel camera all for a mid-range price tag.
HTC Desire 500 Features
The HTC Desire 500 features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It has a 4.3-inch display of unknown resolution, and running the latest HTC Sense UI it is the first Desire handset to feature the HTC BlinkFeed homescreen.
With an 8-megapixel camera in the rear and 1.6-megapixel front-facing snapper, the HTC Desire also has an HTC ImageChip processor for HD video and images.
The mid-range smartphone has Video Highlights software is also included, which turns images and videos and turns them into a 30-second video real set to music. With little effort, HTC says the image transitions are timed to the tempo of the music for a professional finish.
Although the HTC Desire 500 only has 4GB of internal storage, this can be expanded via microSD card up to 64GB in size.
It will support NFC connectivity too, with 4G compatibility still unknown, but in certain markets will be available with dual SIM support.
HTC Desire 500 Release Date and Price
The HTC Desire 500 will be available sometime in August, with pricing yet to be announced. It will be available in Glacier Blue and Lacquer Black.
