GoPro will finally unveil its mysterious Karma drone on September 19.
In a teaser video posted from the official GoPro Twitter account on Thursday, the action-cam maker announced the reveal will take place on GoPro.com
Initially intended for release in the first half of this year, the Karma drone has remained a mystery since it was first announced in May 2015.
The company has released the odd teaser video with aerial footage created using Karma but has never shown off the device itself.
Back in February, the firm went as far as to edit the drone out of a preview clip featuring champion snowboarder Bobby Brown.
Given the Karma is likely to work in collaboration with the Hero cameras, it also seems plausible the eagerly anticipated Hero 5 could arrive on September 19.
Recent leaks have suggested it’ll boast “sick” voice controls as well as a touchscreen.
The improved slow-motion mode may max-out at 720p/120fps, while optical image stabilisation technology and USB-C connectivity also be on the cards.
If GoPro does launch the Hero 5, it’ll be the first flagship release in a couple of years, so there’s plenty of potential here.
GoPro hasn’t announced times for the reveal on September 19, but we’ll have full coverage of the launch.
