Google has rolled out a version of its Calendar mobile app for the iPhone.
The free app can be downloaded now from the App Store, giving iPhone users the chance to ditch the stock Apple offering for the Google-powered alternative.
Users will be able to access the same features as the Android version, such as the handy Events from Gmail tool, which automatically adds appointments from emails to the calendar.
There’s also the Assists tool, which promises to “make suggestions that save you time creating events” and a schedule view which makes “your calendar easy to scan and lovely to look at,” Google says.
Google keenly points out Google Calendar for iPhone will play nice with all of the calendars you have set up on your device, such as Exchange or iCloud.

Given Google's penchant for spreading the reach of its core suite of mobile apps beyond the Android ecosystem, it's somewhat of a surprise the arrival of Calendar has taken this long.
Nevertheless, it's here now and you can check out the new app in the video preview below.
