Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star is experiencing some cross-buy issues on Sony platforms, with a fix to come in 2016.

Good news, everybirdy! Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star is now available for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

Unfortunately, problems with the game’s crossbuy functionality has ruffled a few feathers.

Players are reporting each version of the game as a separate purchase on the Playstation Store, and are unable to download the game on multiple platforms.

Devolver Digital originally planned to implement the feature at launch, but now aim to patch things up in 2016.

“NOTE: Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star should be PS4 + Vita Cross-Buy and will be corrected on PSN by January 8. Apologies for the error,” the publisher tweeted.

Early birds won’t have to wait long to play this eggcellent game in 2016, unless they are happy with a single platform to perch on.

Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star is a direct sequel to the original dating simulator, complete with a festive twist and multiple sidestories.

You are the only human attending St.PigeoNations institute, an elite school for birds. It may sound ridiculous, but it’s surprisingly charming, colourful and hilarious.

Hatoful Boyfriend started off as a free Japanese flash game in 2011, and has since grown into a strange yet charming franchise.

If you’re interested in cringe-worthy bird puns and making feathery friends, it might be worth a shot.

It’s also 75 percent off on Steam right now.
