FIFA 14 Xbox One and PS4 details revealed

EA Sports has offered a load of new details on the next-generation version of FIFA 14 for Xbox One and PS4.

Ahead of the Xbox One and PS4 release dates next month, EA Sports has revealed how FIFA 14 will be enhanced for the next-generation.

“FIFA 14 on next-gen consoles feels alive with players who think with human-like reactions and anticipation and move with the agility of world class athletes”, reads the EA Sports blog post. “Innovative features such as Elite Technique, Pro Instincts, and Precision Movement, deliver the most authentic football experience possible.”

The Xbox One and PS4 versions of FIFA 14 will feature more than 1,000 new animations over the existing versions. This will create new skills and behaviours for your team, and you’ll be able to use the new touch passes, slices and lobs.

“For the first time ever in the FIFA series, multiple players can compete for balls in the air. Not only will there be situations where three of four players can all vie for the ball, but each will also have greater control with a variety of new headers.”

EA Sports has also introduced a new feature called “pro instincts” that allows players to make decisions “four times faster than on previous consoles”.

“Decision-making is now based on multiple frames per second, resulting in players that are more aware of their surroundings and react accordingly,” explains EA Sports. “Gameplay will be dynamic and continuous in FIFA 14 on next-gen consoles.”

The next-generation FIFA 14 title is built around True Player Motion and precision movement to deliver a whole new feel  for the game and increase the realism of the football sim.

“Players will have unique step animations instead of blended run cycles, which means that every step counts. Foot slides have been eliminated and players will use true bio-mechanics to shift their weight from one leg to the other as they run.”

The crowds in the stadiums of FIFA 14 for Xbox One and PS4 also come alive with “3D crowd technology”.

There’s also a new In-Game Director that utilises over 120 different broadcast cameras that will enable you to build storylines for each match and replay your best moments.

“FIFA 14 on the new consoles features a new default camera that is angled lower and closer to the pitch to bring new 3D crowds life. The crowd is now a part of the action. Fans will react to action on the pitch, ebbing and flowing with the action and emotion of each match.”

FIFA 14 will be a launch title for Xbox One and PS4 when they are released on November 22 and 29 in the UK respectively.
