Ahead of the September 27 FIFA 14 release date, publisher EA Sports has made the first playable FIFA 14 demo available to download and play, with a PS3 demo now available too.

Launching a little over two weeks before the latest instalment of the globally dominant football SIM hits retailers, the playable FIFA 14 demo launched for PC and Xbox 360 yesterday, September 10, with the PS3 rendition of the FIFA 14 demo rolled out today.

Allowing eager gamers to take to the pitch ahead of the first whistle, the FIFA 14 demo will give a taste of what's to come from the upcoming release. Incorporating a selection of the world’s leading football clubs, the pre-release gameplay options will let you play full games.

With the PC FIFA 14 demo having been released in the early hours of yesterday morning, EA confirmed that it expected the Xbox 360 version to be launch on Xbox Live between 10am and 2pm on the 10th. To the irritation of many eager gamers, this arrival was slightly delayed with many FIFA fans left waiting for the demo to arrive.

With the FIFA 14 demo for PS3 gamers having been delayed by an upcoming PSN refresh, EA originally stated that those eager to sample the next FIFA title on Sony’s current console will be able to do so between 1am and 3am on the morning of the 11th. This morning the publisher has confirmed the PS3 FIFA 14 demo release stating via Twitter: "FIFA 14 demo out NOW on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC."

Free to download and play, the FIFA 14 demo will see eight teams available to gamers, with the Premier League’s Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspurs joined by a selection of European and American giants.

With PSG representing France and AC Milan Italy, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are also included alongside the New York Red Bulls and Boca Juniors.

Over the weekend a number of FIFA 14 release date midnight openings were confirmed, with high street presence GAME announcing it will hold midnight launches at 300 of its stores up and down the country.

Set to land for next-gen consoles as well as the current Xbox 360 and PS3, last month EA and Microsoft confirmed that FIFA 14 will come free with select Xbox One pre-orders.
