EA has revealed there’s plenty more to come from the Star Wars: Battlefront series, following last year’s somewhat underwhelming, but top-selling release.
Miele said: "[Battlefront] is one of the best-selling Star Wars games in the history of all Star Wars games and that's our first one.
"We're just getting started. So we feel like we have a great road ahead of us in this franchise."
Many Star Wars fans will hope the Miele’s comments point to a campaign mode, which was controversially omitted from the original version.
Despite selling a whopping 14 million copies so far, the multiplayer-centric action excluded a lot of gamers from what was otherwise a beautifully presented Star Wars experience.
While Miele didn't say whether the sequel will cater for a wider audience of single-player gamers, she did speak of the ‘honour’ of working on Star Wars titles.
"I think the idea that Star Wars is something that we feel incredibly honored to be part of... It's been something that's really galvanizing for the company. So we're really proud of how this panned out,” she added.
What would be your new hope for the next installment of the franchise? Content from Episodes I-III? Force Awakens characters?
