Best HTC 10 image leak yet hits the web

Clear images of the forthcoming HTC 10 have hit the web.

Last week we reported on various leaked images of the HTC 10, which up until recently was being dubbed the HTC One M10. However, those images were a mixture of blurry live shots and crisp renders.

Now we've seen some fairly decent (or at least better) hands-on shots, courtesy of Twitter user @tanalibera (via Droid-life).

As you can see, the rear shot shows off the M10's new exaggerated chamfered edge - a welcome departure from the simple curved back of the last three HTC One M7, HTC One M8, and HTC One M9.

The front shot, meanwhile, shows of the HTC 10's vibrant 5.2-inch display (rumoured to be a QHD AMOLED, rather like the Samsung Galaxy S7) better than before.

We also see the HTC 10's physical navigation buttons, which are capacitive back and multitasking keys astride a physical home button/fingerprint sensor. HTC followed Google's lead and did away with physical navigation buttons for the HTC One M8 and HTC One M9.

Now it seems to be falling back in line with its old (and Samsung's current) approach. Virtual navigation keys didn't help the HTC One M9, of course, but we don't think that was really the issue.

HTC has made no official announcement regarding a release date, but it's expected that there will be a launch event either this month or next.

What do you make of the HTC M10's new design? Let us know in the comments.
