Sky customers can finally say goodbye to the “coming soon” logo on On Demand screen. From Monday, they will be able to access 4 on Demand (4oD) via Sky’s On Demand service.

4oD catch-up content will be available from Channel 4, E4 and More 4 – alongside other Sky On Demand content from Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living, Sky Arts, the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, the History Channel, National Geographic and more. In addition, classic shows and series from the Channel 4 archives will also be available to watch on Sky’s On Demand service, such as The Inbetweeners, Shameless, Spaced, Father Ted, The IT Crowd and This Is England ’88.

What’s more, Sky customers can also get this to go, as Channel 4 is also the first terrestrial network to offer its channels and programme on Sky Go, Sky’s award-winning internet and mobile TV service.

Sky Go users can watch Channel 4 and More4 live on their laptop, smartphone, or tablet (with E4 and Film4 to follow shortly). Sky Go Extra customers then the option to download Channel 4 shows to watch offline, if available, which means user are able to watch shows without having to be connected to the internet.

The Sky On Demand upgrade comes at no charge to Sky customers who have connected their Sky HD box to broadband, which means they can easily download catch-up content readily with their Sky remote control. Film4 HD is also set to join the Sky platform in September, as a new addition to Sky’s HD channels.
