Worried about nosebleed seats? StubHub lets you preview them in VR

Ticket marketplace StubHub has made it easier for customers to size up seats by showing select views of stadiums in virtual reality.
The addition for the existing StubHub app for iOS and Android will enable users to slap their phone into a headset and preview their prospective perspective.
It’ll commence with the NCAA Basketball Final Four in the United States this weekend and continue at San Francisco Giants baseball games throughout the MLB season.
If the VR option is available you’ll be able to see a viewpoint from any available seat within the arena.
The functionality will take some of the guess work out of purchasing tickets from secondary markets. It’ll also help users decide where it’s worth forking out extra cash for those seats a few rows forward.
“We didn’t want to do something just for fun or [as] a marketing gimmick,” said Marcus Shelksohn, StubHub’s head of product for mobile apps told Recode.
“Being able to see what the view is like solves a real problem for customers, Are those seats that are closer to the court really worth the extra $50?”
