Vodafone Tab Speed 6 affordable 4G tablet announced
Vodafone has unveiled a new tablet, the Vodafone Tab Speed 6.
The UK network operator did pretty well with its self-branded devices in 2015. In particular, the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 was a fine affordable Android smartphone.
Now the company is looking to spread that same magic to the tablet field with the Vodafone Tab Speed 6.
Here we have an 8-inch Android tablet with a 1280 x 800 resolution display. It runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm, which is backed by 1GB of RAM.
Around back there’s a 5-megapixel camera, if you’re the sort who takes pictures with your tablet.
Inside you get 16GB of storage as standard, which is more generous than a lot of entry-level Android tablets. What’s more, there’s a microSD slot for expansion purposes.

It’s all powered along by a 4060mAh battery. This being a Vodafone device, the Tab Speed 6 also comes with 4G connectivity.
The OS is ‘only’ Android 5.1, but you can be sure it will be a near-stock experience. This was one of the big strengths of the aforementioned Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, after all.
All of this will set you back just £125 on pay as you go. The Vodafone Tab Speed 6 appears to be available to order through the Vodafone website right now.
