Trakkies will ensure you never lose your keys again

Losing your phone or keys is mighty frustrating, but Trakkies could mean you never do so again.
It’s a set of nodes you stick to your valuables, like phone, wallet, keys etc. They form their own wireless network and talk to each other over Bluetooth.
Each node has a tiny display and speaker, so it can show basic information and alert you. They come in two types. The Micro are smaller, with a battery life of 18 months and a range of 180 metres. The Tagg have a battery life of eight months and a range of 70m.
They have another clever feature: profiles. You can assign each a profile, and tell it how to behave. Only use your gym bag on Tuesday mornings, for example, and it’ll only pipe up then if it’s separated from the other nodes. Tell them what you need before you set off for work in the morning, and it’ll give you a quick check before you head out the door.

Press one button and the node will tell you if you have everything, even if it’s buried deep in your bag. Stick one on your passport and it’ll prove invaluable for holidays.
We like the idea. As ever, it all depends on the execution. If it passes its funding goal it’ll ship in February.
