Following a spate of Bad Blood, the all-powerful Taylor Swift has called an end to the Trouble and told Apple Music “you belong with me.”
Yes, after a highly-publicised spat, which prompted Apple into a climbdown over royalty payments during the three-month Apple Music trial period, Swift has committed her hit album 1989 to the new streaming platform.
“After the events of this week, I’ve decided to put 1989 on Apple Music…and happily so,” the star tweeted on Thursday.
T-Swizzle also made clear it wasn’t an exclusive deal and thanked Apple for the change of heart, which also ended the rift with independent labels that had initially rejected Apple’s terms.
She added in follow up tweets: “In case you’re wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you’ve seen Apple do with other artists, it’s not.”

The decision to go with Apple Music, as well as her association with Tidal leaves Spotify “on the bleachers,” so to speak.
Swift’s beef with the Swedish company, whom she accuses of devaluing music by offering a free tier, shows no sign of abating after she pulled her entire music catalogue from the service earlier this year.
