Sony PS4 owners can vote for next month’s free PS Plus games

Sony has confirmed it is holding a vote to decide which indie title to give away to PS4 gamers, via its PS Plus membership scheme.
The company traditionally serves up a number of free titles per month, but until now subscribers have had no choice over what they’ll get.
That changes with the Vote to Play poll, which pits three indie games against each other.
The scheme was heavily rumoured at the end of last month, but its now official.
“All three of these games would be a great addition to our lineup, and we want to put the choice in your hands when voting begins on Thursday, August 13th,” John Koller wrote on the PlayStation Blog.
PS4 gamers need to visit the PlayStation Plus app on their console in order to vote and will have until Monday August 24 to do so.

The free games via the membership scheme matches Microsoft’s Games With Gold initiative for its Xbox consoles.
As well as enabling multiplayer gaming online, it also offers discounts from the PlayStation Store to accompany the free offerings. August’s free games include Drive Club PS Plus Edition, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Limbo.
