Sony delivering a major missing feature to PlayStation VR soon

Sony has announced a forthcoming update for the PS4 Media Player, which has big ramifications for the PlayStation VR headset.
Media Player V2.50 will offer support for user-generated 360-degree videos and photography.
Those who snap up PSVR when it goes on sale tomorrow will soon be able to stream these experiences online or download them to view on their headset.

The update will give the headset greater versatility beyond the gaming-centric focus.
It will also give it parity with rivals like the Oculus Rift and lower-end options like the Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard.
Sony’s v2.50 update will also include support for FLAC lossless audio files for the main console (via VentureBeat).
Have you snapped up a pre-order of the PlayStation VR headset or are you waiting to give it a try before splashing the cash?
