Samsung outs three new curved HD monitors
Samsung has continued its quest to usher in a curved display revolution by revealing three new, affordable HD monitors.
Following the launch of its curved 4K PC monitor back at CES, Samsung is unleashing new full HD models at 31.5-inches, 27-inches and 23.6-inches sizes.
Rather than the £1,200 Samsung wants for its top-of-the-line 3400 x 1440, 34-inch monitor, these 1080p models are much more competitively priced for every day consumers.
The 31.5-inch model (S32E590C) costs $599.99 (around £400) brings a 3000mm curve radius, 5000:1 contrast ratio, two HDMI inputs and a display port. It also features two built-in 5W stereo speakers.
Further down the trough is the white 27-inch model (S27E591C), which is $399.99 (£329). It has a a 4000mm curve radius, 3000:1 aspect ratio along with single HDMI and VGA ports.
At the bottom of the pile is a 23.6-inch model (S24E510C) and a 27-inch black model (S27E510C) that comes in at $299 (£199). All four models boast a 178 degree viewing angle, support for 16.7m colours and a 60Hz refresh rate.
