Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update resumes roll out
The rollout of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update has resumed having been pulled last month due to a number of bugs.
With the original introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update having seen a number of users complain of severe battery depletion and bricking handset, the Korean manufacturer hastily pulled the software patch, with the replacement only now resuming its rollout.
“
With users of the original Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update having also reported freezing screens and Wi-Fi issues, Samsung added: “We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.”
Available now for unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets, the Android 4.3 update will be rolled out across network locked devices in the near future.
“Specific upgrade schedules will vary by mobile operators. Please check your phone for the upgrade,” Samsung stated.
Bringing a range of new features to the ageing smartphone, the Android 4.3 update sees the Samsung Galaxy S4 predecessor add support for the company’s recently launched smartwatch, the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
