The One Plus Nord – the company’s return to more affordable smartphones – is imminent and the company continues to tease us about the forthcoming return to its roots.
A new video entitled Dear Past goes on a long-winded spiel about moving forward in life while embracing the past and what-have-you, but by the end of the clip we actually get a look at the phone itself.
While it doesn’t give too much away, we do see a woman making using the device to stream live video. On first glance it appears the handset has a gigantic bezel at the top of the display, and you can also just about see the rumoured dual selfie camera in the top left corner of the display too. The woman then places the skinny handset onto her pocket, giving us a look at the back and hence the camera bump. We can’t really make out how many lenses are there, but given the length of the array, it appears we’ll be getting a triple camera system.
The video also tells us the phone will have a nice silver/blue colour option. However, aside from the presence of the Android navigation buttons on the display and the physical buttons on the right side of the device, there’s very little else to see.
OnePlus has already confirmed the name for its return to sub-flagship priced smartphones, but is yet to reveal the release date. Company executive Carl Pei reckons the phone will “rock the boat” in a similar manner to OnePlus’ disruptive arrival on the smartphone scene many moons ago.
Recent reports have suggested it may launch in India on July 10, ahead of a confirmed European launch. All indications suggest the phone will cost around £400 in the UK, undercutting the iPhone SE 2020 and taking on the imminent Google Pixel 4a.
