New Titanfall gameplay revealed in 20 minute long video presentation

New Titanfall gameplay has been revealed as part of a 20-minute video presentation by Respawn at the EB Expo in Australia.

Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe took to the EB Expo Arena stage to show off some new Titanfall gameplay ahead of the game’s release sometime next year.

“Titanfall is among the most highly anticipated games of 2014, having been shrouded in mystery for nearly three years,” reads the YouTube video blurb. “The visionaries at Respawn have drawn inspiration from their proven experience in first-person action gaming, and are building on that pedigree by taking a new approach to game design and creating an all-new universe with Titanfall.”

Heppe’s presentation starts off with the game’s official trailer, which showcases the multiplayer-only title that is in development by the founders of Infinity Ward and the creators of the Call of Duty franchise.

Definitely one of the most anticipated games of 2014, Titanfall is available on Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC sometime next year.

“The thing that is most exciting about the project is how we have this unusual blend of these scale of Titans and pilots fighting each other,” said game director, Steve Fukuda. “We also take this sort of high degree of polish that accustomed to seeing in single player games and infusing that into a multiplayer experience.”

Gamers playing Titanfall can either opt to be free-running pilots or inside the mech-style walkers known as Titans.

Offering some details on what the Titans of Titanfall are, the Respawn team say they are like looking at “the ultimate evolution of a battle tank” and a redefinition of what giant robots are.

“We’re really trying to redefine what you think when you see giant robots on screen,” adds Heppe. “They’re not lumbering, they’re really faster, they’re agile, they’re fun. There’s a lot you can do with them.”
