Sony has released the launch date and price detailing for the new 1TB PS4, with the new console landing just next week.
The so-called 1TB Ultimate Player Edition PS4 will be available on July 15, which is only just over a week away.
What’s more the 1TB PS4 will actually retail for the same original RRP as the PS4 — £349.99.
For a limited time at launch, retailers will bundle the 1TB PS4 with the PS TV, which is the microconsole capable of streaming PS4 content to a second screen.
“The PS4 Ultimate Player Edition brings all the best that PlayStation has to offer, with massive space to download and master the best exclusives,” explained Sony in a statement. “The timing has never been better, with PS4’s game offering continuing to expand in 2015 with cutting edge games like the highly anticipated Until Dawn, Batman: Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Destiny and God of War 3: Remastered all arriving soon.”
You can pre-order the 1TB PS4 now from GAME and Smyths, who are both offering the free PS TV bundle deal.

The 1TB PS4 comes with a low power eight-core x86-64 AMD Jaguar processor and a 1.84 teraflops AMD RAdeon based graphics engine. It comes with 8GB of GDDR5 memory and of course that 1TB hard drive.
There’s a slight change in the internal hardware from the original PS4, with the 16 memory modules down to eight for a more energy efficient console. There’s also a smaller motherboard and reconfigured GDDR5 memory too.
The processor stays the same though, which won’t mean any performance upgrades at this stage.
