Need for Speed reboot announced for 2015, teaser trailer drops

EA has announced its classic racing franchise Need for Speed is being rebooted, with a new game scheduled to arrive this autumn.
The new iteration, which will simply be called Need for Speed, will hit the reset button on the series, which first arrived on the original Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1994.
The new game will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows later this year, promising “deep customization, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative that pulls you through the game.”
The title will developed by Ghost Games, the company responsible for 2013’s Need for Speed: Rivals.
Marcus Nilsson, executive producer at the Swedish developer, said the franchise reboot will help restore the Need for Speed name to “greatness,” following underwhelming recent releases.
In a statement, he wrote: “Need for Speed is one of the most iconic names in gaming, and we’re returning it to greatness in this reboot.
