GTA 5 mod lets you cause carnage with the Note 7’s explosive tendencies

Thanks to a new mod, it’s now possible to use the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 as a weapon in Grand Theft Auto V.

The exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 saga seems to be never ending, despite the firm’s best efforts. And thanks to this mod for GTA 5, the debacle is far from being forgotten. Check it out here:

The mod by HitmanNiko allows players to use the Note 7 as a sticky bomb, perfect for blowing up vehicles and generally causing mayhem.

Using the virtual version of the phone to set traffic ablaze isn’t all that removed from reality, with the Note 7 recently being blamed for setting fire to a jeep thanks to its explosive tendencies.

The Samsung Note 7 was launched in the UK early in September but was soon beset by overheating problems, which often led to the handsets combusting.

The issue was caused by a faulty battery, prompting Samsung to issue a worldwide recall.

Happily for the South Korean firm, the handsets that didn’t explode were well received.
