Microsoft listens to Xbox One fan feedback daily, exciting updates to come
Microsoft listens to Xbox One fan feedback daily and is already working on updates to make the console the Xbox “fans are expecting.”
Although Microsoft has already released several Xbox One updates, it seems the company is working on new improvements and features to bring to its next-generation console based on what the fans are saying.
Speaking to Canada.com, Microsoft Director of Programming for Xbox Live Larry Hyrb (aka Major Nelson), stated that the gamers have a huge influence over how Microsoft will improve the Xbox One.
“When we look back and look at what we’ve done, we want to continue to adapt the system to what gamers want. The team that works on Xbox are gamers themselves. We want to build the system that we use and that we know gamers would enjoy using,” said Hyrb.
One of the most recent Xbox One updates improved dashboard performance, wireless networking and tackled issues with SmartGlass, notifications and multiplayer. However, big new features are incoming according to Hyrb.
Xbox One gamers’ feedback will shape the evolution of the Xbox One over the course of its lifespan, similar to the way the Xbox 360 developed. At first the Xbox 360 didn’t have features like Xbox Live party or the ability to support external hard drives.
“If you look back at the Xbox 360′s launch, what it was in 2005 when it launched is completely different from what it is now. It’s fascinating to see the different things that have come along,” explained Hyrb. “We are absolutely committed to adding new features to the Xbox One over the course of its life span.”
