Chinese computing manufacturer Lenovo is teaming with Razer to build a new range of gaming focused PCs.
The two firms have announced (via Engadget) they will release multiple co-branded products and work together to develop new technology for the sector.
The first fruit of the partnership will be fully revealed at CES 2015 with the Lenovo Razer Edition desktop PC.

There’ll also be other special edition versions of Lenovo’s Y Series gaming products with higher performance processors and graphics cards.
In the joint announcement on Friday, the firms wrote: “PC gaming today offers a rich and immersive experience – thanks in part to cutting-edge graphics performance, superior processing power, and peripherals designed specifically for gaming. Lenovo will employ its system design and engineering expertise, while Razer will enhance the immersive experience for gamers.”
Lenovo is fighting the general malaise in the PC market, but the appetite for high-powered gaming rigs remains high.
With power-hungry VR devices like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on the way, the need for a well specced out model is becoming greater than ever.
There’s no official word on pricing and availability yet, but we’ll be on the lookout for the Razer Edition at CES in January.
