The Instagram Layout photo collage app is now available for Android devices.
Layout, which is arrived on iOS in March, allows users to form single images from up to nine photographs in their camera roll.
It features a series of custom templates, which will automatically update as smartphone snappers add images to the collage. Folks will then be able to swipe between the different layouts until they find the perfect collage.
Users will also be able to drag and drop photos into different slots, pinch to zoom, mirror or flip the shots and rearrange photos so they appear as desired within the frame.
. Beyond that there’s a Photo Booth tool, which will take four selfies in quick succession.
The idea is to save the image and then upload it to Instagram where all of the fancy filters, edits, effects and frames can be added.
The app could make redundant the array of photo collage apps available on both the iOS and Android app stores. Many folks utilise those in order to create collages before uploading them to Instagram, but this launch from the Facebook-owned company aims to negate that need.
