The recently-announced standalone streaming service from premium U.S. cable network Showtime will be available at a discount to existing Hulu subscribers.
In a partnership announced on Tuesday, Hulu customers paying $7.99 a month will be able to add full online access to Showtime to their package for a further $8.99.
The HBO Now-rivalling platform launches on July 12 and will cost everyone else $11 a month for the full line up of sports, movies, shows and live feeds from both coasts.
Hulu is footing the bill for the $2 a month discount (as per TechCrunch) as it attempts to establish itself as a service provider beyond its existing network and cable TV offerings.

The launch of Showtime’s steaming service comes just in time for the network’s hit shows, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. It’ll also offer access to archive content like Homeland and Dexter.
It’ll be available to Hulu app users on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast and a host of smart TVs and Blu-ray players.
