HTC Vive now shipping in 2-3 days in 24 countries
Customers purchasing a HTC Vive online will no longer experience a significant wait to receive their headset.
In a press release on Tuesday, the company announced headsets are now shipping 2-3 days after purchase in a whopping 24 countries around the world.
The promise comes following a post-launch period where VR fans faced a wait of more than a month for their high-end VR headset. Outstanding pre-orders from retail partners will ship this week.
The lack of uncertainty over shipping could be another incentive for those pondering a purchase to choose the Vive over the Oculus Rift.
Some Rift pre-order customers are still waiting for their headsets to arrive months after launch.

HTC is also increasing its presence in Microsoft Store and GameStop retail locations across North America, bringing the total from 51 to 100.
“Since beginning pre-orders at the end of February and shipping in early April, we’ve seen incredible interest in Vive,” VP of VR at HTC Dan O’Brien said in a statement.
“Working with our retail partners has only enhanced that momentum because more people are able to try the only truly immersive virtual reality offering on the market today.”
