HTC One with microSD expansion is UK bound

A revised HTC One offering is heading to the UK, with a microSD storage compatible iteration of the flagship phone set to be introduced.

One of the few gripes with the standard HTC One, the new microSD expandable option will allow owners to store more data locally. As well as an additional 64GB of storage space, the modified HTC One handset will also play host to Dual-SIM support, all accessible via a new removable rear plate.

Although helping users better separate their work-life balance, the Dual-SIM options will host differing connectivity options. While the primary SIM can host HSPA connections, the second SIM will be limited to EDGE.

Building on the strong foundations of its flagship predecessor, the new, microSD incorporating HTC One will play host to the same premium array of specs as the classic model.

Sporting a 4.7-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel Full HD resolution and 468 pixels-per-inch image density, the HTC One specs sheet is further enhanced by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2300mAh Lithium-Ion battery.

Although a release date has yet to be confirmed for the new Dual-SIM HTC One, the phone is currently available for pre-order through the official HTC online store.

Despite its new, removable rear-panel and microSD expansion, the revised HTC One will cost the same as the standard model. HTC has handed the Dual-SIM smartphone a £494.99 price tag.
