Game of Thrones price confirmed, release date set for December
The first ‘season’ of the playable Game of Thrones video game from Telltale will be released in December, according to a listing on the Steam platform.
The episodic title, which will be presented in six instalments, can now be pre-purchased via the online gaming portal for Windows and Mac for £20.69/$26.99. That’s a 10 per cent discount on the official launch price.
Telltale’s interpretation will introduce House Forrester, which appears in the George R.R. Martin book A Dance of Dragons. Players will take control of one of five members of the family, each of whom will encounter some of the series’ most popular characters.
The game also brings some hefty voice talent to the table with Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Natalie Dormer (who plays Margaery Tyrell) and Iwan Rheon (who stars as the rather unsavoury Ramsay Snow in the TV series) all lending their vocals.
A trailer for the first game in the series, Iron From Ice, was released last week, which you can see below.
The game will be released for PC, Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and iOS, while other it’ll also be available on as-yet-unannounced platforms. Excited much?
