This amazing folding house takes just 6 hours to build – and only costs £25,000
Getting on the property ladder in 2017 may be tougher than ever, but one Italian architect just made it a whole lot more straightforward.
Renato Vidal’s flat-pack M.A.DI homes are an ingenious alternative to traditional housing that go from a box of panels to a finished house in six hours – and only require a three-strong construction team to piece them together.
Watch the whole building process as a 90-second time lapse below:
The new affordable living concept comes complete with a kitchen, bathroom, upstairs bedroom, central heating and air conditioning, and costs as little as £25,000 ($33,000). This could be the future of the affordable modern house.
The basic 290-square-foot version would suit us just fine, but you can upgrade to a 904-square-foot family home for £55,000 ($73,000) if you fancy a bit more space to roam around.
Once finished, it looks like a normal house from the outside, perfect for hibernating in through winter.
The main difference is you’ve saved yourself a ton of moolah, and can move your whole home to another location if you get fed up of your neighbours.
