Finally a gaming chair that won’t make you cringe

Garish, gaudy, chunky – all words you’ve probably associated with gaming chairs over the years. Now, finally, there’s range that won’t ruin your carefully chosen interiors.

The German firm Noblechairs has just released its Epic series of gaming chairs that attempt to bring a bit of Herman Miller-style slickness to the world of button mashing.

There’s a distinct lack of bling – the two chairs on offer have a delicate aesthetic that makes them look more like designer office chairs than the mostly bulky seats that carry the “gaming” moniker.

What makes these gaming chairs, though? Well they are fully adjustable and rotate 360-degrees for some Oculus Rift  shenanigans – so far so traditional office chair. However, Noblechairs claims the leather cover on the Epic Real Leather Gaming Chair is breathable. That’s important if you want to play comfortably for hours on end without getting hot and sticky.

There’s no rumble features, rear-firing speakers, or holders for a cheeky can of Monster and pack of Doritos, though. These are clearly aimed at the PC gaming connoisseur – they are not for lounging around with a PS4 controller in the living room.

All of this comes at a price, and it’s pretty hefty. The faux-leather model weighs in at £279.95 while the real leather will set you back £439.99. Ouch.

The Epic gaming chairs are available to buy today.
