Elon Musk’s reusable space rocket is ready for blast off again

Space X founder Elon Musk has announced the company’s reusable Falcon 9 rocket is ‘ready to fire again.’

The rocket made history in December by safely returning to earth after traveling out of the atmosphere to deliver satellites to orbit

In a post on his Instagram page on New Year’s Eve, the entrepreneur says the rocket was “back in the hangar” with no reported damage.

It’s not clear whether this Falcon 9, which cost $16 million to build, will ever be tested again.

Musk’s ‘ready to fire’ vow suggests it may be in the cards, although the entrepreneur said it would probably be kept on the ground.

It could be destined for a museum… but if called upon, this Falcon 9 could be aiming for the stars again.
