Curve replaces your wallet with a single card and it’s launching in the UK today

Are you fed up of carrying so many credit and debit cards around with you? With financial services start-up Curve, you can cut this down to one.

The Curve app for iOS and Android connects all of your cards, while a single contactless Mastercard can be used for all physical transactions.

Users simply have to prioritise which of their credit/debit cards within the app before paying. Meanwhile, the ‘Back In Time’ feature also lets users switch payments to a different account a full two weeks after the transaction takes place.

The folks behind the app/card combo are calling the feature a “financial time machine.” We wouldn’t go that far. Such a device would stop us from blowing our monthly food allowance on a limited edition barrel aged imperial stout last weekend.

For travellers, there’s also the advantage of being able to use the card abroad without any foreign transaction fees. That alone will be enough to convince some folks to embrace Curve.

The app itself keeps note of all transactions you make from your respective accounts, while also providing notifications whenever an account is charged.

The all-in-one approach is also designed to make it easier for people to get a better oversight of their general finances.

If you lose your card there’s an instant Lock Card feature within the app so, which sure beats having to cancel all of your cards if you’re rocking a wallet packed with all of them.

Curve says the cards, which also work with chip and pin and magnetic swipe machines, will begin shipping to customers next week.

Sign up is free, and there are more than 50,000 people on the waiting list to join up. You can skip the line if you can convince some friends to sign up too.
