Attention, Jedi Hipsters: The Force Awakens soundtrack is now on hologram vinyl

Digital streaming and compact discs are simply too mainstream for even the most ardent Star Wars fan, right? Fortunately, Disney has got your tweed-clad back.
Walt Disney Records has announced plans to sell the Force Awakens soundtrack in 2-LP format in 180-gram vinyl. You’ll also get liner notes by director J.J. Abrams in a 16-page booklet bundled with the discs to boot.
But wait, there’s more! All of the records have been hand-etched with an only-on-vinyl 3D hologram “experience”. On Disc 1/Side B, you’ll find a holographic Millenium Falcon, and on Disc 2/Side B, there’s a holographic TIE fighter. You’ll have to view both from the correct angle under a direct light source to get a proper glimpse of the holograms, of course.

You can buy the Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2-LP hologram soundtrack from June 17 online at the Disney Music Emporium, but pre-orders are already open.
