It’s a wearable, portable air pollution monitor that monitors the quality and safety of the air you breathe.
Sound confusing? It isn’t. It accumulates all this data and presents it as an Air Quality Score – i.e. a number that tells you the quality of the air around you.
It’s not just the air outdoors you need to worry about. According to the makers, the air in our homes can deteriorate due to activities like cooking, cleaning and DIY. This can mean the air inside can be up to eight times worse than outside.
If the air becomes unsafe, you’ll get an alert on your smartphone. Wondering what’s deteriorating the air quality? You can perform a spot check by pressing and holding the button on Atmotube. This takes a measurement each second, and as you move it around, will help you find the source of the problem.

Anything that helps us live healthier gets our vote. Not sure how useful it’ll be out and about though. While it might help you find a less polluted route to work, for instance, it can’t help much if you work in a highly polluted area like a city centre. It could make you more anxious about what you’re breathing in. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
