Asus Zenbook UX301 unveiled with MacBook Air-rivalling screen

The Asus Zenbook UX301 is slick ultrabook that comes with Gorilla Glass 3 to protect a high resolution 2,560 x 1,400 WQHD screen.

Announced along with a slew of new tablets, the Asus Zenbook UX301 makes improvements to one of the most beautiful ultrabooks you can currently get your hands on.

The UX301 adds a scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3 cover and a ceramic palm rest to make this Zenbook follow-up an even sleeker ultrabook offering.

The Windows 8-running UX301 has a Retina-esque 13.3-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 multitouch WQHD display, a Haswell Core i7 CPU, 802.11ac WiFi and ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.

For gaming you’ll get a choice of Intel Iris™ graphics or NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 730M graphics and there’s also Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0 support for plenty of connectivity.

The Zenbook UX301 is also accompanied by the UX302 a similarly slick design with a different set of components under the hood.

There’s no news on how much the Zenbook UX301 and UX302 laptops will cost but we imagine it won’t be cheap. We will keep you posted when we know more.
