Despite the ongoing success of Chromecast, Google continues to leave the Android TV platform out there for willing manufacturers.
Although there haven’t been many takers lately, Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has finally released its Android TV-packing Mi Box in the US.
The $69 4K HDR-enabled set-top box was initially unveiled at Google I/O back in May, which is also the rumoured price of Chromecast Ultra set to be announced tomorrow.
It is also Google Cast-enabled, comes with a Bluetooth voice remote and 60fps 4K decoding.

As well as the Nvidia Shield Android TV device, the Mi Box enters the conversation with the Amazon Fire TV as well as Roku’s refreshed 2016 offering.

This is the first time Xiaomi has launched a product in the United States. However, it is yet to say whether the Mi Box will be available in other territories.
