"Why no GF4 in between, you might ask. Simply because in Japan 4 is considered an unlucky number. So there you go, the GF5 it is then."

I wonder if they'll come out with a GF11 then? :-/

With the old GF3 currently available for £200 (with £50 cash back applied) with either the 14mm or 14-42mm standard zoom lens is there really a big enough gap in features and performance to justify the £400 plus price of this new model?

If the GF5 with X 14-42 was £400 then I would hold off buying a GF3 but currently it seems too expensive for what it offers.

So what do all the japanese 8 year olds born on 04/04/2004 feel then?!

I just picked up a GF3 with the Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm lens for £375 so after the Panasonic cash back I will have paid £325! The GF5 with the same lens is listed at nearly £600! I suggest others get theirs while they can!
